After that, Max’s Turning Night is a bit of an anticlimax.

First of all, I gave the 4.5 stars because I felt the first part of the book was rushed and could have been explored a bit more. Once set out to find Gregori and Max's adventures to find him, I was drawn in. I liked that she wasn't just some stick of a figure girl with no mind of her own and had real strength of character. The fact that she was vampire but not dead was a real good take for someone like Max. I liked how Gregori seemed to really be in to her shapely figure as most men of older eras are. Real women have more curves and and can be appreciated for such without how our present generations seem to cherish thin and sickly. I find it a great move on the author to use this as a way to show how most men who aren't so shallow really feel about a woman's figure. The fact that Max will go on to rule in Gregori's place if something should happen to him was inspiring for the author created such a strong character in Max to be able to do so with little effort. I found this an enjoyable story with a strong heroine.Product details

I love reading about the Abomination, Nexus, Raven and everyone else. It's like reading about family, one of my choice.
I love Ms. Grace' s books but this was a huge letdown. The writing is stilted with short choppy sentences; as if the sentences were to be used as an outline starter sentences to be built upon but never fulling the potential. The plot is a fun idea missing the previous humor ( there was a bit) the usually makes me lough out loud in this series.
